Solvatten is one of three finalists selected by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York for its 2011 Green Award, to be presented to the winner by HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden at a Royal Gala Dinner on November 1.

About the Award

The SACC Deloitte Award was instituted to recognize an innovative and groundbreaking small Swedish business focused on viable energy alternatives and energy conservation. The winner of this award is able to utilize the full expertise and know-how of SACC New York and its network to reach US companies and institutions.

Twenty young Swedish growth companies are currently preparing to take part in an international exhibition presenting cutting edge innovations within the fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Life Science, Clean Technology and Gaming.

The exhibition will embark on an international tour 2011-2013 starting in Stanford, California, 2-11 November 2011.

SOLVATTEN has been shortlisted for this award because of its significant environmental and social benefits. The product exhibits sustainability through the entire supply chain and is setting a new standard for household water treatment.

The International Green Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise innovative and creative approaches to sustainability. The Awards are internationally established and showcase best practices in sustainability across business, government and citizen initiatives. International Green Awards aim to create change by exhibiting worldwide sustainability success stories that inspire and motivate others.

The Award for Best Green Product Innovation “celebrates real innovation”, with finalists having “challenged traditional thinking and have developed ground-breaking technology that delivers tangible sustainability benefits”. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 24th November 2011 at the Natural History Museum, London.
